| Fishing : | Fishing is permitted in the river channels. An accessible pier is located at the River Delta Interpretive Site. |
| Hunting : | Waterfowl hunting is popular, and the Refuge is open for waterfowl hunting during state seasons. |
| Wildlife Observation and Photography : | Visitors are invited to drive or bicycle the 12-mile long auto tour route looping around a large water impoundment, which teems with waterfowl, marsh birds, and water birds. Viewing decks are strategically placed to aid in observation of Refuge wildlife. Photography blinds are available by contacting the Refuge staff prior to your visit. |
